Furnace Installation & Repair

Natural gas, propane, and electric furnaces from 40,000 to 120,000+ BTU. We handle full replacements, heat exchanger inspections, igniter and blower motor replacements, and complete combustion analysis.

A furnace is the backbone of winter comfort in Detroit. We size replacement equipment using a proper Manual J load calculation rather than guesswork, verify gas pressure and venting, and confirm safe combustion with a calibrated analyzer on every install. For repairs, we diagnose the real failure instead of swapping parts until something works.

Why it matters: An oversized or undersized furnace short-cycles, wastes fuel, and wears out faster. Correct sizing and clean combustion keep your heating bills down and your equipment alive longer.

Central Air Conditioning

Split systems, packaged units, and ductless mini-splits from 1.5 to 5 tons. Covers condenser and coil replacement, refrigerant leak detection, capacitor and contactor repairs, and full system changeouts.

Detroit summers are humid, and an air conditioner that cannot dehumidify leaves a house clammy even when the temperature reads fine. We charge systems to proper subcooling, verify airflow across the coil, and seal and test the condensate drain so a clogged line does not flood your basement.

Why it matters: Low refrigerant charge and poor airflow quietly destroy compressors. A correctly charged and balanced system cools better, costs less to run, and avoids the most expensive repair in HVAC—a dead compressor.

Heat Pump Systems

Air-source heat pumps, dual-fuel systems, and cold-climate heat pumps. Includes installation, reversing valve and defrost board diagnostics, refrigerant troubleshooting, and hybrid fuel-switchover setup.

Modern heat pumps carry more heating capacity than older units could, but they still need careful sizing for Detroit winters and an honest conversation about backup heat. We set the balance point on dual-fuel systems so the system picks the most economical heat source automatically.

Why it matters: A heat pump that is mischarged or set up with the wrong backup strategy ends up running expensive electric heat all winter. Proper setup is the difference between real savings and a high utility bill.

Ductwork Design & Sealing

New duct runs, redesign of poorly performing systems, manual duct dampers, flex and sheet metal work, mastic and aerosol duct sealing, and airflow balancing room by room.

Even the best equipment struggles against leaky or undersized ducts. We measure static pressure and supply airflow, seal joints with mastic rather than duct tape, and add balancing dampers so the room farthest from the blower actually gets air.

Why it matters: Leaky ducts can lose 20 to 30 percent of conditioned air into an attic or crawlspace. Sealing and balancing improves comfort, lowers bills, and stops the system from running longer than it should.

Indoor Air Quality Solutions

Media air cleaners, HEPA integration, UV-C germicidal lights, whole-home dehumidifiers, energy recovery ventilators, and humidifier installation and service.

Detroit homes are sealed tight for winter, which traps dust, allergens, and humidity inside. We match the right filtration and ventilation to your system and your household—especially important for anyone with allergies, asthma, or pets.

Why it matters: Clean air is comfort you cannot see. Proper filtration and humidity control protects both the equipment and the people breathing the air it moves.

Seasonal Tune-Ups

Spring cooling and fall heating maintenance visits. Includes coil cleaning, refrigerant level check, electrical and safeties inspection, burner and heat exchanger check, filter replacement, and a written service report.

A tune-up is not a sales call. We run through a defined checklist, flag small issues before they become failures, and leave you with a record of what we found. Maintenance keeps warranties valid and catches problems during mild weather instead of a January cold snap.

Why it matters: A system that is clean and correctly tuned uses less energy, breaks down less often, and lasts more seasons. Routine maintenance is the cheapest HVAC work you can buy.
